Byer California is a fashion retailer that designs trendy, yet affordable womens’ and girls’ garments. I worked in the photo studio there, but that name didn’t nearly describe the spectrum of design encased within our daily to-dos. From textile patterns, to lookbooks and graphics, photo was a mere percentage of the role. Byer also provided me a place to really nerd out on gear, as it was the only time I’ve used a Mamiya 645DF. Medium format digital back? Holy, yes.
